Did anyone see the fireworks last night? Apparently they're in Tivoli Gardens every night, but we're going to be there during the day, so we won't see them. I think I may venture in tonight just to get a better view of the display.
Fireworks are marvellous things, aren't they? No magic even involved in these. To thing that muggles could take explosives and turn them into something aesthetically pleasing! It's pretty bloody brilliant when you think about it. You know some fireworks are launched by rockets, but others are by mortar, which is sort of like firing a big bullet into the air, only it explodes and you get the resulting beauty. And skyrockets were first used in war! So what we're watching now (as apparently skyrockets are most common) was first used as a device to aide in the killing of others.
Hmm.
Consequently, I heard fire trucks last night as well. Thoughts to ponder. I wonder if we could convince Professor Beckham that muggle fireworks would be a good lesson. And we should have samples to coincide.

I don't mean to alarm anyone, but there's a level of sound that is reaching disturbing in Ravenclaw. The screams seem to be elevating as well as multiplying. I'm not sure. Maybe this is some sort of new musical trend. But it's interfering with my project, either way.
Dear Screamer,
Please try to scream quietly. I hear if you scream into a pillow, it muffles the sound. Or I could construct you a soundproof box if given time and access to the proper equipment.
Your cooperation is appreciated,
Paddie Prang

Wait. I'm confused. What's going on? I have the distinct feeling I should have paid more attention during Slughorn's speech but the cloud patterns on the ceiling were very unique. The way the light was coming through the altocumulus pattern was fascinating.
Er, anyway. Why is everyone so panicky?

I've been hard at work lately. We're putting on Romeo & Juliet at the Young Vic (tonight is the last night) so I've spent most of my time at the theatre up to my knees in lighting equipment. We had one of our stage lights break during testing last night and I had to do a quick replacement. Didn't think I'd get it up in time, but I managed. I've had a busy time of it since Austria and haven't gotten any of my school supplies yet. It looks like a last minute Diagon run for me. Seems to happen every year though.
And, while we're on the subject of lighting, I've got a lighting scheme worked out for the Tarts and Vicars party. Abigail has entrusted me with this task and, I have to say, I think I've done a fine job. I've set up the light system to correspond with the sound, but I'd really like a set list. However, Abigail says they don't have anyone to do the music yet. If this changes, someone let me know, yeah? That way we can work out something together and take this party to the next level. I've got all the professional equipment you'll need and everything is set up.
Oh, I should get one of those costume things too.

Does anyone have any idea what time those suit shop things clothes? I seem to have lost track of time. And myself. I'm not quite sure where I am, but I suppose there should be somewhere around here to find a suit.
I've been researching the Hofburg Palace and it looks really spectacular. I can't wait to see the grand ballroom. The amount of time it must take to light all of it. I really hope I get a chance to see some of their equipment up close

I spent most of yesterday morning in a store in Innsbruck that specialises in stage equipment. It was bloody brilliant! I got the adapters that I need for my equipment, so at least I can make sure events are properly staged from this point on. After that, my new muggle friend (Siegfried) and I went to the children's theatre where he works after school. Do you know they have a school here devoted entirely to the arts? And he gets to do all the lighting and such in school? I think I want to be a muggle.

It took me a full day's sleep to recover from whatever happened at karaoke. I have bruises down one whole side of my body.
...Victoria, I thought you said drinks with umbrellas weren't alcoholic???

I feel very uncomfortable even reading these right now. Someone tell me when it's safe to come out. I don't get Gryffindors.

Excuse me. Louis Weasley? I believe you are my roommate. Please be non-threatening.
I had planned much more time at home before being back amongst the masses. I was supposed to do stage lighting for an upcoming production with the Young Vic.
